About Mark Simpson

With an inherent passion for helping others in his community and using his experience and knowledge to promote financial freedom, Mark is meant to be a Financial Advisor. Born and raised in Markham, Ontario, Mark would go on to thrive in his management roles at Pratt & Whitney Canada, a global leader in aerospace. Mark has three children with his wife, Diane, and lives in Cambridge, Ontario.

The economic challenges facing many industries in 2008 resulted in Mark becoming unemployed. Faced with the daunting task of starting over and reinventing himself completely, he thought back to the values his mother had instilled in him as a banker and decided to whole- heartedly pursue a career in financial services. Throwing himself into this new journey, he achieved top advisor for mortgages for consecutive years and found his new passion. Throughout his life, he has enjoyed managing his daughter’s and son’s youth hockey and soccer teams, getting out on the golf course, watching his Toronto Maple Leafs, and spending summer days at the cottage with his wife. He continues to encourage and inspire not only his family, but also every client he deals with; heavily valuing trust, authenticity, and transparency. Mark’s core values, work ethic, and commitment to his clients has been willfully adopted by his children; his daughters, Danielle and Leanne, are a University of Carleton graduate (Architecture) and a Conestoga College student (ECE), respectively. His son, Matt, will be enthusiastically joining the Genesis team after graduating with a Hons BA degree in Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University, and enrolling in the LLQP.
