Born and raised in Hamilton, Paula takes great pride in having worked with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Football Club for eight years in the Merchandising and Ticketing departments. Her passion for helping people led her to the world of Retail where she worked in Management Roles for companies such as The Shoe Company, Apple and Victoria’s Secret.
With her 20+ years of Corporate experience behind her, she took her love of helping people to her current role as a Financial Security Advisor. She is passionate about having meaningful conversations with her clients to understand their values and goals. This understanding allows her to create financial plans that will ensure her clients’ financial goals are met. She maintains long-lasting relationships through strong bonds built on trust and respect.
Paula specializes in helping clients move from the corporate world to being self-employed, as well as on prospecting for new clients, staying motivated in moving towards your goals, and finding success in your field. Her honesty and openness has led to lasting friendships and accountability partners with her existing clients. She thrives when advising, coaching and mentoring individuals and small business owners in the planning and implementation of wealth management strategies, retirement planning and estate conservation.
Always interested in learning new things and in meeting new people, Paula is currently pursuing her Certified Health Specialist designation. Community involvement and giving back is an important part of Paula’s life. Over the past 7 years she has devoted countless hours as the volunteer Foundation Manager for the Dave Andreychuk Foundation, a charitable organization that helps various children’s charities. Paula also sits on several charity committees, and she takes part in events throughout the year.
Paula lives with her partner Dan, a helicopter pilot, and she fills the role of Step-Up Mom for his two wonderful sons - Peter and Evan. In her spare time, she enjoys riding her motorcycle on country roads: “yoga on wheels” as she calls it.
